She recently collaborated with poet Margaret Hasse on a book of poems and paintings entitled “Shelter,” published by Nodin Press. Outside of work, Sharon is a watercolor artist. Sharon received her master’s in arts administration from the University of Wisconsin and her bachelor’s in creative drama from the University of Virginia. She brought 25 years of prior experience working at theaters and performing arts centers helping to connect youth, educators, families and the public with transformative arts experience. Sharon joined the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation in 2007. Through her role, Sharon works alongside community members who work or volunteer at nonprofit organizations and is consistently in awe of their commitment to making community more equitable and vibrant for all. Sharon is responsible for reviewing grantmaking in several key areas, including arts and humanities, older adults and legal services. Educated at Phillips Exeter Academy, Harvard College (A.B.As Program Officer, Sharon supports the work of nonprofit organizations throughout the metro and the state.
